First 30 days · Exceltek Group · Appliance repair, Gold Coast

$129 in.$11,970 out.

Jason is an appliance repair tech. His hands are usually full when the calls come in.

In his first month, our agent picked up 191 calls he couldn’t get to.

His own time back3.5 hours on the phone, at the $180 an hour his time is worth$630
Work he was never going to see84 bookings and quotes, every one from a call he’d missed. Nothing changed: his phone rings like it always did, and we take over only if he misses it$15,120
Less the ones he’d have won anywayAssume he chased a quarter of those missed calls himself and still got the job. That is the only guess on this page, and it counts against us−$3,780
First 30 days$0
First 30 days$11,970

Against the $129 he paid us.

But that’s an estimate. Let’s throw away the value of all those jobs and stick to absolutes.

The time on those calls alone was 3.5 hours.

That’s $630 of his time.

488%return, on his time alone

So how much did Jason have to change?

Nothing.

He was already on ServiceM8.

We integrate with ServiceM8 properly.

All he did was add our agent’s contact number to his ServiceM8 team member slot.

From that moment, the calls he couldn’t get were sorted right inside the app he was already using.

See exactly what it cost him

What he paid

$129 in July 2026, on the entry plan as it was priced then, part of it monthly fee and part of it overage. That is the whole bill, and every return figure on this page is measured against it.

That was July, and the plan has changed since

He came in on an earlier version of the entry plan, and results like his are why we restructured it. Jason Owen keeps the terms he signed on, and our prices have only ever moved in one direction. What a client starting today would pay depends on their own call volume, which is what the consult is for.

And yes, he went over

Part of that bill was overage and we would have been surprised if it wasn’t. The entry plan is a starting plan, not one built to carry a busy trade business, and its ceiling is deliberately low so you never buy capacity you don’t use. When the overage starts to look like the next plan up, that’s the signal to move, and we tell you.

Why we started

Dylan Amey

The Voice AI Guy

Optiphone started because of a phone that wouldn’t stop in his home.

It was the family business line. It rang all day, and Dad caught up on it all night.

When Mum tried handling the calls to help him out, it just brought the business to the dinner table.

“Did you follow up with Susan?” “How much did we charge for acid at 101 Main Road?” On and on.

What turned it into a company was watching the same thing happen to client after client across half a decade in accounting.

Small operators at boutique firms losing the same calls.

Then the resources it took to manage that same problem at the other end of the scale, on $100M enterprises during his time at KPMG.

He’s the one you’ll actually speak to.

People who have worked with him.

“I had Dylan support me recently to run the biggest event I have ever hosted on the Gold Coast. I am so grateful for his help, he was incredibly switched on and very proactive when I was experiencing some challenges with the venue while trying to present to the audience. Apart from his incredible people skills and being a reliable person you can count on. He is overall a really great human and someone you want to have in your corner.”
Kateesha Hembrow · BeKnown Academy
“I've had the pleasure of knowing Dylan through Fxrge over the past two years, and he's been one of those rare people who shows up not just as an attendee, but as someone who genuinely wants to help... His reliability, positive attitude, and willingness to pitch in without being asked is something you truly don't take for granted...”
Isaac Wright · The Fxrge
“One of the best people I know to bounce ideas off. Sharp thinker, genuinely insightful, and always brings a grounded practical perspective. The kind of person who actually wants to see you win and shows up like it too. Great guy, highly recommend without hesitation!”
Jaxon Broderick · Digital Consultant and CRO

The systems

Six conversations we’ve already optimised.

The last one is the call no business wants to make, yet every single one should be.

Reception

Flagship

Someone rings your business and nobody is free to pick up.

"Dylan! Hey this is James what can I do for you?"

"Thanks for calling Optiphone, this is Andrew on our recorded line. How can I help you?"

3.5 hours saved and $15,120 of job value in the first 30 days, a 488% return on his time alone

Answers in about three seconds, any hour, in a voice that doesn’t sound like software.

Qualifies the job and writes it straight into ServiceM8.

Books it if you want. You stay on the tools.

Speed to lead

Direct response

A form comes in on your website and sits there.

"Hi Sarah, thanks for your enquiry about the 4m driveway gate at 101 Main Road. We’ve got Sam looking at it now and he’ll get back to you shortly. Anything you’d like to add?"

21x your qualified new job enquiries

Calls within seconds of the form landing, and names the person who owns it.

Collects anything the team needs before the first callback.

The point is to reach them while they’re still on your page, not your competitor’s.

Why seconds matter. The Lead Response Management study analysed more than 15,000 leads and 100,000 call attempts.

Calling a web lead within five minutes rather than thirty made contact roughly 100 times more likely.

And it made qualifying that lead 21 times more likely. Read the study (Dr James Oldroyd, MIT Sloan with InsideSales.com, 2007)

Event activation

Events

People registered weeks ago and half of them won’t turn up.

"Just calling to answer any questions you might have about this Thursday. We’re looking forward to seeing you!"

Took attendance from the usual 40% to 60%, up to 77%

People sign up for an event weeks out, then life happens and half of them never turn up.

So the agent rings every person who registered, a few days before, and asks if they’re still coming.

It answers the small practical questions that quietly turn into a no-show: parking, timing, what to bring.

Anyone who has changed their mind tells the agent why, and you hear about it while there’s still time to fill the seat.

A free event typically gets somewhere between 40% and 60% of the people who registered.

We worked with Rosalyn on Wilson Environmental Compliance’s first ever free in-person event, calling every registrant beforehand.

It finished at a 77% attendance rate.

Event follow-up

Events

The event ends and the feedback never gets collected.

"Thanks for joining us on Thursday! What did you think? I’d love to know how we can improve for next month"

Calls every attendee afterwards, and runs the survey as a conversation rather than a form nobody opens.

Captures what they actually thought.

Puts the next event in front of them while the room is still warm.

QC calls

Sales & team

You have no idea how your team sounded on the call.

"Did you feel that Dylan took the time to understand your needs before making a recommendation? Did he care?"

The quality-control call Dylan paid thousands to learn from Australia’s #1 sales coach, packaged and tuned.

It rings the prospect after the appointment and gets the honest read on how your team performed.

It lands better than the rep asking on their own behalf, because the person answering has nothing to lose by being straight.

Overdue accounts

Cashflow

The invoice went out and nobody has chased it.

"Calling about invoice 4021, we noticed it’s been overdue for six days now. Would you like any support arranging financing options?"

Every account past your threshold gets a call on the day it crosses.

Polite, consistent, and it happens whether or not anyone in the office had time.

The awkward conversation nobody volunteers for stops depending on somebody volunteering.

How we work

We will tell you if it’s the wrong thing to build.

01

We work out whether it’s worth building

The first conversation is about which of your repeating calls actually leaks money, and how much. Sometimes the answer is that the project you came in for isn’t the one to build first, and we will tell you that. Occasionally the answer is that you don’t need us yet.

02

We build it against your real calls

Not a demo script. Your objections, your suburbs, your job types, your booking rules, wired into the tools you already run: ServiceM8, Xero, your calendar. You approve how it handles the edge cases before it answers a live call.

03

We keep it tuned

Every call is reviewed and the agent is corrected against what actually happened on your line. A voice system that’s never revisited drifts. This is the part most people skip and the reason theirs sounds like a robot six weeks in.

Who we work with

Started from residential trades like these.

And now

We work with almost any industry that repeats a phone call.

In their words.

“Excellent product, this is a life saver, especially in tax season - when we are too busy to answer every call.”
Amanda Amey · MQ Accountants
“Dylan has been nothing but Fantastic. Owning a business myself, I know the difficulties of staying on top of things, trying to be everywhere at once & slowly loosing my mind. Dylan fixes this & he fixes it well. Highly Recommend!”
Ty Grech · Junk Gents
“Optiphone has absolutely changed the game for us. Managing calls was an absolute nightmare while being on the tools and often not even having the schedule on anything else. I used to have to run to the car to get it. We don't have emergencies often but getting that call every now and then helps our cashflow so much, I used to miss most of those.”
Tristan Amey · Poolzone

Straight answers.

Reception is our flagship system and most clients start there. What changed is that it’s no longer the only thing we build: the same engine runs speed-to-lead callbacks, event activation, QC calls and overdue-account follow-ups. If the conversation repeats, it can be systemised.

No. Residential trades are where we started and where most of our reception clients still sit. But the systems aren’t trade-specific: an event organiser, an accountant or a services business with a repeating phone conversation is a fit. If you want the detail for your own trade, there’s a page for each one.

It can, if you choose. We pride ourselves on being a professional tailoring service: the tech we’ve built is our product, but our real value is understanding your business and tailoring our agents to fit what you need. Most of our clients choose to keep control by screening the calls and picking them up before the agent if they want to. If you’d rather it reversed, so the agent screens for you, then we can do that.

Plans and current rates are at optiphone.ai/plans. On the smaller plans you should expect some overage, and that’s deliberate rather than a trap: the included allowance is kept low so you aren’t paying up front for capacity you never use, and you only pay for the calls that actually came in. When your overage starts to approach the next plan up, that’s the moment to move, and we will tell you when it happens.

We will say so. Part of what you’re paying for is somebody who has built these before telling you which conversation is worth systemising first. Building the wrong agent well is still a waste of your money. If you want an honest read on the one you have in mind, talk to our experts on 0489 086 864 and we will tell you what we would build and what we would not.

Call the number on this page and judge it yourself. That’s the honest answer and the only one worth giving. The voices run on ElevenLabs, and we were accepted into their startup grant programme. What actually keeps it sounding right is the tuning after launch, not the voice model.

The builds we most commonly do are usually up and running within 48 hours of signing. To give you a good estimate we’d need to know more about what you’re looking at building. Our team can give you a timeline estimate before we go ahead with anything, just call 0489 086 864 and ask.

No lock-in. Billing is monthly and you can cancel from the billing portal link on every receipt, as easily as you signed up.

Tell us which conversation keeps costing you.

Hear an agent handle your kind of call, or talk it through with Dylan. No obligation either way.
